Internet Addiction behavior (IAB) or screen abuse is not a separate problem on its own. For young people, excessive Internet usage may include various negative aspects, such as withdrawal from offline activities, social isolation, escape from reality, exposure to online risks (i.e. sexually explicit material, cyber-bullying, sexual solicitation, etc.).
The in SCREEN MODE project will create an eLearning environment integrating easily used tools (i.e. an Internet Addiction Genie) that will offer personalized Internet withdrawal or screen reduction plans for each specific user.
