‘Not only does disability impacts individual health and well-being, it also leads to social and economic exclusion. (Peter Maurer).
The Erasmus+ Project titled ‘DIVERSELY CODING: coding for improving the social inclusion’ that has just started aims to promote social inclusion through strengthening the skills of people with hearing disability in order to improve their access to the labor market. The training course to be developed aims to provide LLL opportunities to hearing-impaired people for the acquisition of highly needed digital skills such as coding thus opening new routes for employment.
Emphasys Centre participated in the kick-off meeting of the DIVERSELY CODING project, which was organized in Torino, Italy on 14th of December 2018 where the main objectives and the outputs of the project were discussed and analysed.
A big thank you to the coordinator and hosting organisation of this project Associazione ERGON (Italy), as well as to the rest of the partners European Digital Learning Network
(Italy), Platon Schools – Εκπαιδευτήρια Πλάτων (Greece), Fundación Tecnología Social – Funteso (Spain) and Equalizent Schulungs und Beratungs GmbH (Austria) for the great cooperation.
