Work Based Learning has been well-established as a successful strategy providing students with relevant work experience while developing simultaneously academic and technical skills.
The consortium of the Erasmus+ VET project titled ‘SWOT: Skills for Work Opportunities in Eno-gastronomy and Tourism’ is looking for ways to improve the cooperation between the VET companies, schools and students who are seeking to find work-based learning opportunities to develop their employability skills.
Emphasys Centre being active in this initiative took part in the final transnational meeting which was held in Targu-Mures, Romania between the 3rd and 4th of June 2019.
During the meeting the Intellectual Outputs were finalised and so were the Guidelines for Students, VET directors, administrative staff and trainers, Companies and Policy makers. The consortium also discussed extensively the format of the training activity to be held in Cyprus in July 2019.
The SWOT Consortium invites all VET students who are interested to find a placement, as well as all companies that offer such placements, to visit and register in the SWOT platform: https://swot.pixel-online.org/virtual_platform/
