“We need a lot more critical thinking and media criticism taught in schools at a very early age.” John Stauber, author.
The project titled “DIMELI4AC – Digital and Media Literacy for Active Citizenship” targets school students between 10-15 years old. The aim of the project is to promote critical thinking and democratic values in school children, by developing a tool kit to empower young students to become responsible, critical, global citizens for the digitalised and connected world we live in.
Emphasys Centre attended the 2nd Transnational Meeting of this project which took place on the 11th and the 12th of July in Hannover, Germany, where important matters were discussed, in relation to the interactive teaching and learning material to be produced for the promotion of digital media literacy among teenagers.
We would like to thank the hosting organisation, Leibniz Universität Hannover, as well as the partners who participated in the meeting – Lifelong Learning Platform, ANT1.com.cy, CCS Digital Education and Ellinogermaniki Agogi – for a fruitful and productive meeting.
