‘Freedom of Speech doesn’t justify online bullying. Words have power, be careful how you use them’. Germany Kent
A new journey has began…..Emphasys Centre had the pleasure to host the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ Youth project DICIPASS4YOUTH (Digital Citizenship for youth empowerment) with the participation of 5 distinguished organisations: CGE Erfurt e.V. (Germany), University of Pireaus (Greece), Global Citizens’ Academy (Lithuania), CCS Digital Education Limited (Ireland) and Open Europe (Spain).
The project aims to promote digital citizenship among teenagers thus empowering their ability to engage positively, critically and competently in the digital environment, drawing on the skills of effective communication, to practice forms of social participation that are respectful of human rights and dignity through the responsible use of technology. Partner organisations are eager to start working on the project looking initially to identify the views, needs and challenges faced by young people in the 5 countries in their participation on line and through new technologies.
During the meeting on the 12th and 13th of September, participants had the opportunity to explore the new potentials created for teaching and learning through the use of the Oculus Rift S (Programming for VR), 3D Modelling and 3D Printing.
Thank you all for a constructive meeting!
