‘Interculturality has emerged in the last decades as an educational response to phenomena of increasing interconnections’. It is known that many conflicts and challenges such as the migration/ refugee crisis or globalization have a significant impact on the intercultural life spheres of our society, including education.
The project Erasmus+ Adult project entitled: ‘INCREASE- Intercultural Competences for Adult Educators working with Multicultural and Multilingual Learners’ aims to strengthen intercultural communication (ICC) of adult educators working in order to help them to overcome the challenges arising from their everyday work with multicultural and multilingual learners.
Emphasys Centre participated in the kick-off meeting being organized between the 21th and 22th of November in Iasi, Romania. A great consortium will implement the above project: @Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie Grigore T. Popa Iași and EUROED from Romania, SOROS INTERNATIONAL HOUSE-SIH from Lithuania, DIAN from Greece, IFES Coop from Spain, Emphasys Centre from Cyprus and PIXEL from Italy. A big thank you to the hosting organization @Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie Grigore T. Popa Iași, the co-coordinator of the project, as well as the rest of the partners for their excellent collaboration.
