“To bring Europe back to growth and create new jobs, we need more entrepreneurs.” – The Entrepreneurship 2020 Action Plan

The EU has been focusing on enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of youth in Europe for the last few years, in an effort to strengthen SMEs. As part of this effort, the European Commission has created the EntreComp Framework, which sets clear benchmarks for essential entrepreneurial skills, aiming to clarify and promote them across Europe.

The Erasmus+ ‘EntreComp Certificate’ project addresses the entrepreneurial gap of the EU, by instilling the values and skills of the EntreComp Framework in school students, through the creation of an interactive platform. The EntreComp Certificate platform will include self-learning materials for students aged 14-20 years old, as well as practical activities for their engagement, making the knowledge both accessible and relevant to the students.

Emphasys Centre took part in the kick-off meeting for EntreComp Certificate, which took place in Lancaster, UK on the 22nd and 23rd of November.

We would like to thank the hosting organization, the Lancaster Royal Grammar School, as well as the rest of the consortium for the energy and positive attitude for cooperation they brought to the kick-off meeting.
