“When [the outcomes of internet use] are negative, especially when internet use conflicts strongly with other aspects of life, concerned parents and teachers should try to get to the underlying (offline and online) causes of this harm.” – EU Kids Online
The ON-OFF4YOUNGSTERS project aims to educate teachers in the subject of excessive online engagement in students, its effects and causes, as well as ways to help students moderate their internet use. The project’s ultimate goal is to support children, through the help of their teachers and the use of an AR (Augmented Reality) Game, to achieve balance in their online and offline lives, where they can engage with the internet in a healthy manner which does not interfere with their health and well-being.
Emphasys Centre participated in the third transnational project meeting of ON-OFF4YOUNGSTERS, which took place in Athens, Greece on the 18th and 19th of November, 2019.
