“Social enterprises combine societal goals with an entrepreneurial spirit. These organisations focus on achieving wider social, environmental or community objectives.” – The European Commission
In recent years, the EU has recognised the importance of entrepreneurship and the significant impact it can have on societal improvement. The Erasmus+ project ‘European Social Enterprise Network’ aims to support aspiring social entrepreneurs to upgrade their skills or acquire new ones through the development of an e-learning platform with innovative functionalities.
Additionally, through the various activities, the project will provide the opportunity to existing or newly established social enterprises or entrepreneurs to connect together and offer networking prospects and capacity building opportunities.
Emphasys Centre is pleased to be part of this challenging project that started in Warsaw, Poland, on the 5th and 6th of December 2019.
We would like to extend our thanks to the project’s coordinator Instytut Ochrony Środowiska – Państwowy Instytut Badawczy (Poland), for hosting, as well as the rest of the consortium Social Enterprise International Ltd (United Kingdom), TUCEP Perugia (Italy), Δήμητρα Εκπαιδευτικός Οργανισμός (Greece) and Instytut Badań nad Demokracją i Przedsiębiorstwem Prywatnym (Poland) for a smooth and fruitful meeting.
