👂 ‘Media literacy is a prerequisite for a vibrant, modern democracy’ (European Commission, 2020).
👉 The Erasmus+ Project MeLi for Parents aims:

✔️ The project started in October 2019 and so far, a transnational report on the current scene on Media Literacy as well as the training curriculum for parents have been developed.
❗ The survey which took place in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Poland, indicated that parents show a great concern over their children’s involvement on media emphasizing cyber security concerns, the need to develop control tools for parents and family media management.
📗 The Consortium has developed a training material on Family Media Management, Popular Applications, Cyber Security, Privacy and Digital Footprints, Internet Addiction, Parental Control Tools, Cyberbullying and hate speech, Role Models and Stereotypes, Digital Content Creation and Misinformation on Digital Media.
The training curriculum will be available in all 7 languages including English, and will include workshops of small duration to parents based on their current level of Media Literacy as well as 360 activities in total for parents, children and teenagers.
The next steps include the development of the training activities and the translation of the training curriculum which will be integrated in the web platform to support children’s and parents’ learning on Media Literacy.
