DICIPASS4YOUTH: “Digital Citizenship for youth empowerment”

By November 6, 2020No Comments
🔍 In addition to the health and economic crisis, COVID-19 has also presented another unique problem, the prolonged use of technology — especially by young people — and rising levels of online hate speech. Today, it is more crucial than ever for youth workers and educators to teach young people how to participate safely, effectively, critically and responsibly in a world filled with social media and digital technologies.
👉The partner organisations of the KA2 Erasmus+ Youth project DICIPASS4YOUTH: “Digital Citizenship for youth empowerment”, CGE Culture Goes Europe – Soziokulturelle Initiative Erfurt e.V. (Germany), University of Piraeus (Greece),
Pasaulio pilietis / Globalcitizen.lt (Lithuania), CCS Digital Education (Ireland) and Treball, estades i formació – Open Europe Reus (Spain) are now finalising the development of the IO3 “BACK PACK FOR COMMUNITIES OF TRUST” (learning modules for exploring and teaching digital citizenship issues as identified, resources, videos, campaign production). The main purpose of the IO3 is to influence the behaviours of young people towards using technology and the web and to also share awareness and understanding of how to protect themselves and others on-line, how to communicate and obtain safe access, how to use technology wisely, which is based on the 9 elements of Digital Citizenship. Youth workers will use this EDUCATIONAL BACKPACK for teaching young people to become responsible citizens for the digitalized world.
