‘Migration is an expression of the human aspiration for dignity, safety and better future’ – Ban Ki-Moon
❗ Despite the fact that Europe remains a favourable destination for people seeking a better future, Third-Country National (TCN) women face multiple barriers for integrating in the community (i.e. child care obligations, gender discrimination).
👉 With this in mind, the new Erasmus+ KA2 Adult Project I-WELCOME – Reinforcing migrant women’s integration in society and the labour market, aims to offer more opportunities to TCN women to enter the labor market and engage in the social life of the host country. Specifically, the project aims to offer an up-skilling training programme and job-shadowing schemes for the TCN women, but also a training programme for the Labour Market Stakeholders (LMS) to further develop their intercultural competencies.
📅 The kick-off meeting of the project was organised virtually on the 24th November 2020. During the meeting, the main objectives of the project were analysed and the next steps were agreed.
💯A big thank you to the coordinator of the project KIT – KULTUR IM TURM E.V. (DE), as well as the rest of the partners Rinascita Societa Cooperativa Sociale (IT), Pistes Solidaires (FR), Rusenska Targovsko Industrialna Kamara (BU), Academia Postal 3 (SP), AKNOW (GR) for the great cooperation.
