❗ Youth unemployment dramatically increased in 2020 reaching approximately 14% in the European Union (OECD, 2021).
💡 Social Entrepreneurship creates the opportunity for young people to develop initiatives aiming to raise their creative and skillful vision gaining financial stability by also promoting social cohesion.
👔 The Erasmus+ project ‘European Social Enterprise Network’ (ESEN) aims to support aspiring social entrepreneurs to upgrade their skills or acquire new ones through the development of an e-learning platform with innovative functionalities.
🤝 The project will also provide the opportunity to existing or newly established social enterprises or entrepreneurs to connect with each other and offer networking prospects and capacity building opportunities.
✔️ Partners have thus far created a Transnational Report which identifies the current state in the EU regarding social entrepreneurship strategies and good practices in each partner country (Cyprus, Greece, Poland, United Kingdom, Italy). Focus groups with key stakeholders in the social entrepreneurial field have conducted to investigate the level of learning of social economy and social entrepreneurship among youth.
The results enabled for the development of the ESEN Curriculum which consists of the learning outcomes and the structure of the Training Course to be provided to young people.
🤝 We would like to thank our partners IOS-PIB (Poland), SOCIAL ENTERPRISE EUROPE (UK), TUCEP (Italy), DIMITRA EDUCATION & CONSULTING (Greece) and INSTITUTE FOR PRIVATE ENTERPRISE AND DEMOCRACY FOUNDATION (Poland).
