🤳 Internet Addiction is globally emerging during the pandemic (Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Mental Health volume, 2020). Only in 2019, the EU estimates that 12.7% of adults are at risk of Internet Addiction Behaviour (IAB).
💡 Emphasys Centre participates in the Erasmus+ I-AID project which aims to empower adults to deal with situations of excessive preoccupation with Internet/screen abuse and develop Personalized Withdrawal plans to moderate their behaviour.
🤝 The ‘Internet Abuse Identification and personaliseD withdrawal strategies’ (I-AID) project is implemented by Civic (UK), Advancis (Portugal), AKNOW (Greece), Nottingham Trent University (UK) and CWEP (Poland).
✔️ Partners have so far developed the Transnational Report listing all the national findings and survey results across the countries in relation to internet use by adults. Base on the findings, action plans have been developed to help individuals to manage and reduce their screen-time.
These action cards enable users to learn about technology-use information, control online behaviour, identify behavioural alternatives and promote self-care.
🙌 Stay tuned to learn more about the next steps of the project! For more information, visit our website:  https://i-aid.erasmus.site/
