๐ฃ Digital access is a right and not a privilege in which no one should be excluded.
๐ค ‘Robotics4Deaf’ is an Erasmus+ Project which aims to introduce to educators who work with children with hearing impairments anย inclusive Tool Kit and a dual Educational Pack to teach coding and robotics to the hearing impaired community.
๐ง So far, the consortium has developed the training material which is divided into two different age groups: 10-14 years old and 15-21 years old. Students will be taught robotics and coding through creative modules in the fields of Culinary, Space, Environmental and Methodology.
๐ The next steps include the translation of the teaching material in the Greek, Polish, Latvian, Slovak and Italian and in the international and national sign languages.
๐ก The primary objective is to provide an innovative course on robotics and coding for hearing impaired students to ensure social and digital inclusion and facilitate employability prospects for hearing-impaired youth in the digitalised labour market.
๐ค Emphasys is pleased to be working with the Istituto Dei Sordi Di Torino in Italy, DEMOKRITOS in Greece, Rezeknes Tehnologiju Akademija in Latvia, DeafStudio in Slovakia, and Polski Zwiazek Gluchych Oddzial Lodzki in Poland.
