👉A major problem Europe if facing, is Youth Unemployement. According to the EU labour force survey, in 2018, there were on average 3.4 million unemployed persons aged 15-24 and 22.4 million persons of that age group in the labour market. As today’s demands are increasing rapidly, so are young people’s set of skills need upgrading.
👩🔧The ‘Young Social Makers’ Erasmus+ VET project, aims to strengthen the profile of educators by acquiring these desirable skills, in order to teach VET students and thus be better prepared to meet the needs of the labour market.
🤝On the 22nd, 29th and 31st of March 2021, the C1 training activity was organised online with VET trainers from Spain, Italy, Cyprus and the Netherlands. During the training activity, the aim and objectives of the project were presented to the participants, along with the presentation of the e-learning platform by Emphasys Centre. A presentation of the understanding of the target public and the Maker Skills followed, where the consortium and trainers were engaged in various online interactive activities. The training mobility ended with the presentation of the FAB-LAB technologies and the factsheets that were developed.
