Update on the RURAL GCE project!

💬 “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
📢 The Erasmus+ RURAL GCE project aims to promote global citizenship education (GCE) and to raise awareness of global issues such as cultural diversity, global warming, media literacy, sustainability and poverty to adults, especially to the ones living in rural areas. Since the beginning of the project in February 20201, the consortium has been working hard to complete the tasks requested and to have the best results possible.
💻 The partnership’s last virtual meeting was on the 2nd of June, in which the final updates were discussed. Activities’ leaders shared their outcomes up until this point, presented their work and explained the next steps and what it will be needed from the rest of the partners. Discussions were mainly focus on the RURAL GCE Handbook, in which global issues and ways to be taught in classroom will be explained. All partners showed their satisfaction with the work already done and decided on deadlines for next steps and tasks.
👏 A big thank you to the coordinator of the project CIVIC (UK) as well as the rest of the partners Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας (Greece), Ruse Chamber of Commerce and Industry / РТИК (Bulgaria), FyG Consultores (Spain) and Atermon (The Netherlands) for this productive meeting. We are looking forward to continuing working with you!
