💬‘The training and education of ECEC staff is central to the quality of ECEC provision. However, many children with intellectual disabilities still lack ECEC practitioners who are adequately trained and equipped to meet their needs’ (UNICEF, 2014).
📢Emphasys is delighted to inform that it will participate in the development of the new Erasmus+ KA2 Project; ‘EMBRACE: Fostering inclusion of children with intellectual disabilities in early childhood education and care’. The project’s objective is to contribute to the enhancement of the quality of early childhood education and care (ECEC) and promote the inclusion of children with intellectual disabilities. In addition, through this collaboration, the partners involved will develop an ‘E-Learning Course’, an ‘Inclusion Handbook’ and an ‘Awareness-raising Toolkit’.
🖥️The Kick-off meeting was conducted between the 9th – 10th of February 2022. During the meeting, the consortium discussed the main objectives of the project and its Intellectual Outputs as well as matters related to Quality Assurance, Evaluation and Dissemination.
