Whoever they are, the individuals forced to leave their countries, should always be treated with dignity. It is a human right to seek protection, regardless of who you are, as it is non-negotiable.
Wherever they come from, the individuals forced to leave their homes, should be welcomed anywhere. In order for them to survive, they must flee, either by plane, boat, or travel on foot.
Whenever people are forced to leave their country, they own the right to be protected. No matter the cause of harm; war, violence or persecution, each and every individual deserves protection.
What remains universal, is the right to seek safety
In order to honor this day, Emphasys Centre, in collaboration with the Cyprus Refugee Council, are organizing the Festival of Refugee in the framework of the European Project Engage: Developing Inclusive Integration Paths for Migrant Women (No: 957673) (https://amif-engage.eu/) which aims to empower refugee women and integrate them both in society and in the labour market.
