By January 24, 2023No Comments
🧑‍💻🤳Does your child play video games on the Internet excessively? 🧑 💻🤳 Is your child compulsively shopping online? Or unable to stop checking Facebook?
The KA2 Erasmus+ Project STEPin aims to support parents and adult educators in dealing with internet/ screen abusive behaviours (IAB) in an attempt to monitor their habits while introducing healthier practices for them, and also for their children.
In this context, parents from 4 countries (Germany, Slovenia, Croatia and North Macedonia) took part in the training activity that was organized between the 17th-19th January 2023 at the Emphasys Centre premises in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The participants had the opportunity to learn more about the results of the STEPin project, specifically in relation to topics such as:
👉Parenthood in the Digital Era
👉Internet Abusive Behaviour – Risks and Challenges
👉Prevention and Intervention Skills for Parents
💯 We would like to thank the coordinator of the project Leibniz Universität Hannover (Germany) and all the trainers from the partner organizations Udruga roditelja Korak po korak (Croatia), RIC Novo mesto (Slovenia), KMOP Skopje (Republic of North Macedonia) for the workshops delivered, along with all the participants for their active participation and collaboration. Special thanks also to our guest speaker, Mrs Elena Odysseos (European Parents Association) who shared with us her experiences and expertise on the impact of technology on parents and kids both at the local and the EU level.
