EQUALISER: Closing the Gender Gap in the Modern Workplace

๐Ÿ’ก Women not only have higher unemployment rates but they also get 14% less paid compared to men.

๐Ÿ’ผ The Erasmus+ project entitled EQUALISER aims to promote gender equality in the modern workplace by assisting private firms in implementing gender mainstreaming strategies.

๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿ’ผ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿ’ผ The project targets adults at all levels of an enterprise who are interested in implementing gender mainstreaming tactics and promoting gender equality.

๐ŸŽฏOne of the projectโ€™s main objectives will be the development of two digital gender equality training courses, one for the leadership and one for the staff of companies. Before developing these trainings we need to identify gaps and needs for gender equality in the workplace. Therefore, we are currently carrying out a research study, based on mapping national ecosystems on gender disparities in the enterprise.

๐Ÿ”Ž Research Process
First Phase
Distribution of research questionnaires to the entire company (questionnaires are in English)

Second Phase
Discussions with decision-making level employees of the firm who can provide knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and perspectives about gender equality/inequality in the workplace (discussions will be in Greek)

  • Employed by a middle size company (50+ employees) located in Cyprus
  • Excellent comprehension and use of the English language
  • Employees at any level of employment are encouraged to participate
  • Participation until April 5th, 2023

A. Questionnaires – 5 minutes

  1. Discussions – 45 minutes
    -The online discussion will take place between the period of the 1st of March and the 7th of April.
