On April 5-6, 2023, took place in Sofia (Bulgaria) the kickoff meeting of the DIGITALIATORS project, funded under the Erasmus Plus program.
During the meeting were presented all the partners and was discussed the project purpose, timeliness and the action plan of the project.
The main purpose of the project is digital training, but fully focused on everyday transactions enabling people of age to be independent and gain competences, which will make their lives easier. In many European countries, the digitalization of the state and bureaucratic procedures are today’s reality, and it is of course a great progress. But it is not so easy for everyone.
From booking doctors’ appointments to paying bills and declaring their taxes, from understanding security issues and the notion of applications to communicating with their loved ones online, DIGITALIATORS project aims to educate in a comprehensive and effective way people in need of digital training. All project partners will focus on each country’s specific digital needs, and general digital competences.
Thus, the main objective of the DIGITALIATORS project is to address the digital transformation of society and services offered by both the public and the private sectors of the economy through developing and offering high-quality, flexible learning materials to senior citizens and adults facing problems because they don’t know how to use the internet applications that would make their lives easier.
The partners of this project are: E-academy BG, (project leader), IDEC S.A., European Digital Learning Network ETS – Dlearn, Emphasys Centre (GR), Agentia pentru Dezvoltare Regionala Nord-Est, UPI – ljudska univerza Žalec.
