๐ Supporting Youth Mental Health: Introducing the Erasmus+ KA2 Project “HOLD ON” ๐
๐Research studies have shed light on a concerning reality: one in every five young people struggles with mental illness, yet many of them lack access to the essential mental health treatment they need. Addressing this pressing issue head-on, we are thrilled to introduce the Erasmus+ KA2 project “HOLD ON – Fostering access to mental health support for young people.”
๐ง The projectโs primary goal is to increase young people’s access to informal peer mental health services at non-medical service points. Additionally, the project aims to enhance mental health literacy among non-health-related professionals working with youth. By providing comprehensive training and resources, HOLD ON aims to empower these professionals to recognize mental health problems and create supportive environments.
๐
Recently, on the 19th of July, 2023, the HOLD ON partnership gathered in a productive online meeting. This kick-off event served as an opportunity for partners to acquaint themselves with one another and discuss the pivotal first steps of the project, as well as the upcoming tasks and responsibilities.
๐คWe would like to thank our coordinator, AFEJI (France), and the rest of our partners: KMOP (Greece), Baskia Shkoder (Albania), ย Spoleczna Akademia Neuk (Poland), and Family and Childcare Center (Skopje, The republic of North Macedonia). Their active and enthusiastic participation contributed to a successful meeting.
As we embark on this important journey, we invite you to stay tuned for regular updates on our project’s progress. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of young people in need of mental health support.ย ๐ช
