📅 From the 12th to 17th of May, 2025, Emphasys Centre in collaboration with the Europass Teachers Academy, hosted the KA1 course: “Artificial Intelligence for Education: Exploring the Frontiers of ICT.”
💡 This innovative course was designed to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to harness Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a powerful ally in the classroom, rather than seeing it as a challenge. Participants explored both the benefits and the risks of AI in education, tackled key ethical questions, and gained practical experience with a range of AI tools for teaching and assessment.
📚 Highlights included hands-on practice with AI applications such as ChatGPT for language learning, AI-powered assessment feedback tools, and creation of multimedia content with AI. Participants also learned to create guidelines for responsible student use of AI-generated content and explored strategies for making informed decisions about integrating AI into their teaching practice.
✏️ The course combined theory with hands-on workshops, offering participants an engaging, practice-based learning experience. Teachers also benefited from personalized support, and opportunities for follow-up training. By the end of the course, educators left feeling empowered and ready to bring AI tools into their classrooms to boost student engagement and enhance learning outcomes.
