Το Κυπριακό Συμβούλιο για τους Πρόσφυγες και το Εκπαιδευτικό και Ερευνητικό Κέντρο Emphasys σας προσκαλούν στο διαδικτυακό σεμινάριο με θέμα ‘Ευαισθητοποίηση και ενημέρωση για τα έμφυλα στερεότυπα στον τομέα εργασίας, που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 15 Ιουνίου 2022, μεταξύ 15:00 – 18:00.

 

Το σεμινάριο αποτελεί μέρος μιας σειράς σεμιναρίων με θέμα ‘Γυναίκες Πρόσφυγες στο Χώρο Εργασίας’ που απευθύνονται σε εργοδότες αλλά και επαγγελματίες Διεύθυνσης Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού (HR), και θα πραγματοποιηθεί στα ελληνικά, σε συνεργασία με την Παναγιώτα Πολυκάρκπου.

 

Η Παναγιώτα Πολυκάρπου είναι πτυχιούχος Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων και Δημόσιας Διοίκησης από το Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου. Το 2019, μετά την αποφοίτησή της, βραβεύτηκε ως μια από τις Ευρωπαίες ηγέτιδες που αντιπροσώπευαν την Κύπρο στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες στα πλαίσια της υποτροφίας S.U.S.I η οποία επικεντρώνεται στην Κοινωνική Επιχειρηματικότητα και Ηγεσία. Τα ενδιαφέροντά της επικεντρώνονται στο φύλο και την ισότητα και την διαφορετικότητα – το 2020 συν-ίδρυσε την πρώτη ψηφιακή εκστρατεία ευαισθητοποίησης για την ισότητα των φύλων στην Κύπρο «Θκυο Λόγια» και το 2021 την πρωτοβουλία «Girls in STEAM Academy». Η Παναγιώτα εργάζεται ως Ερευνήτρια/Εμπειρογνώμονας για θέματα φύλου στο Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου και είναι υπεύθυνη για την εφαρμογή του Σχεδίου Ισότητας των Φύλων και τη διαχείριση του πανευρωπαϊκού έργου Gender-SMART που στοχεύει να μετατρέψει το πανεπιστήμιο σε οργανισμό φιλικό προς τα θέματα φύλου και ισότητας. Είναι ένα από τα μέλη της Βουλής των Νέων στην Επιτροπή Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων και Ισότητας των Φύλων και μέλος Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο της AIPFE-Women of Europe.

Emphasys Center and the Cyprus Refugee Council are inviting you to an online seminar with title Gender Equality in the Workplace’ which will take place on the 15th of June between 15:00 – 18:00.

 

This seminar is part of a series of workshops directed to Labor Market Stakeholders/ HR professionals with theme ‘Integration of Refugee Women in the Labor Market and Society’, and will be delivered in Greek, in collaboration with the experienced speaker in topics of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, Panayiota Polykarpou.

 

Panagiota Polykarpou holds a degree in Business Administration and Public Administration from the University of Cyprus. In 2019, after her graduation, she was awarded as one of the European leaders representing Cyprus in the United States under the S.U.S.I Fellowship which focuses on Social Entrepreneurship and Leadership.  Her interests focus on gender and equality and diversity – in 2020 she co-founded the first digital gender equality awareness campaign in Cyprus “Thkyo Loya” and in 2021 the “Girls in STEAM Academy” initiative.  Panagiota works as a Gender Researcher/Expert at the Cyprus University of Technology and is responsible for the implementation of the Gender Equality Plan and the management of the pan-European Gender-SMART project which aims to transform the university into a gender and equality friendly organization.  She is one of the members of the Youth Parliament’s Committee on Human Rights and Gender Equality and a member of the Board of Directors of AIPFE-Women of Europe.

The Connected Educator: Media Literacy Skills for Educators

Course Description

In the digital era, the ability to access, analyze, evaluate and create media has become a key skill for everyone. However, digital advancements have brought new challenges to both youth and adults. The Connected Educator: Media Literacy Skills for Educators course aims to equip educators/ teachers/ youth workers with key skills and knowledge required, in order to be better prepared in promoting digital citizenship, critical thinking and democratic values both in their professional and also their personal lives as well.

At the end of the course, participants will also gain access to an educational game designed to support them in their role to transfer this knowledge to their learners and also to a series of online webinars to further develop their own media literacy skills anytime, anywhere.

3D Design camp: Calling all future designers and engineers!

Course Description

This course offers an introduction to 3D Design and 3D printing and will help students and educators prepare for future breakthroughs in the Art of Design.
How can 3D design prepare students for the real world? 3D modelling has changed the way we design for the better. Not only does 3D modelling help the designers and end-users visualize space requirements, but also improves drawing efficiency and accuracy. It also enables designers/engineers to “play around” with different ideas and identify potential design problems before they become actual issues.

In this course, you will learn about the future of 3D printing and manufacturing, the process of creating a digital model and then sending that file to be manufactured as a physical, three-dimensional object.
