SkillsMatch

Matchmaking between digital competences gap of adult educators and e-learning offer

Short Description

The relevance and the quality of the training offer for adult learners is a concern in many EU Member States, especially in Southern and Eastern Europe. The massive increase of online courses has made it hard for potential learners to choose the most appropriate course that will support them develop the competences they need. Based on this rationale, the SkillsMatch project aims to support adult educators develop digital skills and support course providers to develop new e-learning courses in order to cover the demand for skills.

SkillsMatch aims to produce three main intellectual outputs in order to reach its objectives. An online/mobile matching tool, based on a smart research engine, will be created to match the identified digital competences gaps with e-learning offers. In addition, the consortium will develop a Guide for Course Providers that will help them understand the current needs of learners so that they can design adequate training courses. Finally, Micro-learning Nuggets will be developed (based on the DigiCompEdu framework) to enrich the soft skills of adult learners.

The project targets adult educators who are looking to increase their digital competences and skills with e-learning courses and designers of e-learning courses for adult educators.
