Inclusive Transition Pathways: Continuing Education after Secondary School for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Short Description

The INCLUSIVE-PATH project aims to enhance the transition of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) to post-secondary education (PSE)/Adult Learning & Education (ALE) through a holistic approach targeting educators and staff in Secondary Education (SE) and PSE, and focusing on the empowerment of the families of people with IDDs.

Specifically, the project aims to:
• identify and fill a training gap for staff in secondary education to ensure smooth transition to post-secondary education.
• identify training gaps in staff in post-secondary education and adult learning and education to support persons with disabilities.
• support informal carers to influence persons with disabilities to progress through different spheres of education, by becoming allies.

• Educators and Staff in Secondary Schools
• Educators and Staff in Post Secondary (PSE) ecosystem
• Informal carers (e.g. family members & circles of support)
• People with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are finishing secondary education and/or are out of education & training
