DESIRE project emphasizes the development of digital social entrepreneurship training aiming at developing the competencies of schools and teachers to provide meaningful entrepreneurship learning.
Notwithstanding, a sense of initiative and entrepreneurship is an essential transversal skill identified by the EU both to create jobs in the future as well as in building resilient societies. By supporting teachers to integrate entrepreneurship into their subject area, the project aims at the development of an innovative social entrepreneurship curriculum and digital learning content to promote acquirement of entrepreneurial skills such as, creativity, initiative-taking, teamwork, understanding of risk and responsibility etc. among junior high-school pupils aged 12-15.
The project is in line with the ET 2020 objective ‘to enhance creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship, at all levels of education and training’. The overall objective of DESIRE is to improve the competencies and skills of young people to take an active role within the society, in building the social economy and strengthen cooperation between school and business.
Moreover, the consortium includes both partners from the education and entrepreneurial sectors bringing a wealth of expertise to effectively collaborate towards the implementation of the project.
