Distance-Digital Teaching and Learning in the Post-Covid-19 Era
The unexpected pandemic of Covid-19 has caused many difficulties in educational systems worldwide. In most countries, the spread of Covid-19 brought about temporary closures of educational institutions while digital learning became the new reality. These nationwide closures affected school learning but also imposed new ways of teaching, bringing to light the importance of digital literacy. Based on the above, the Di2LEARN project aims to strengthen the profiles of educators, empower and equip them with digital and pedagogical skills, as well as to provide them with the essential tools and resources to meet the challenges of distance and digital teaching and learning. Additionally, the project aims to support students to cope with the new challenges of remote and digital learning and help parents cater to the well-being of their children. Thus, the project follows an innovative “Triple Approach” to ensure optimal Digital and Distance Learning by involving teachers, students, and parents.
The experienced project consortium will achieve its objectives by producing the following results:
1. a COMPREHENSIVE DISTANCE AND DIGITAL LEARNING METHODOLOGY to support educators in developing their schools’ ACTION PLAN IN THE COVID- 19 ERA
2. a TRIPLE FIRST AID PACK for teachers, students, and parents that will include guidelines, tips, and useful advice on how to deal with the new digital, learning, mentoring, and assessment challenges as part of the provision of distance and digital learning.
3. an INCLUSIVE INTERACTIVE PLATFORM and MOBILE APP with enriched functionalities such as the SELFIE-READINESS SCHOOL TOOL, podcasts, webinars, e-learning tools, e-community, etc.
