Schools go Green
Developing A Whole-School Approach To Promote Social Change And Sustainable Development As A Response To Environmental Challenges
Short Description
Schools have an important role to play as innovators of social change and sustainable development, however, Green and Environmental skills are rarely taught in schools. Based on this, the Erasmus+ KA2 project Schools Go Green aims to provide an upskilling pathway programme for teachers in order to strengthen their profiles in dealing with environmental and green issues, so that they can support young pupils (pre-primary and primary) aged 5-12 years old to explore environmental issues, engage in problem-solving, and take action to improve their community and school environment.
The project consortium form 6 different European countries will produce 4 main Intellectual Outputs:
-Go Green syllabus-curriculum
– Green platform with various functionalities and provision of services
-Green Glossary Book
-Go Green Toolkit
The Schools Go Green project supports the process of the commitment made by the European Union in 2019 (EU Green Deal) to make Europe a climate-neutral continent by 2050.
