Act before it happens: Preventing and fighting Early Leaving from Education and Training with Artificial Intelligence

The stAI project is focused on achieving several objectives aimed at reducing the average percentage of early leavers in education. This entails mapping key risk factors contributing to early leaving, recommending effective intervention strategies, elucidating the concept of knowledge-driven AI systems in education decision-making, enhancing decision support mechanisms, and advising policymakers on local-level education ecosystem implementation. The project’s implementation involves various activities such as creating a transnational early leavers risk map, developing a comprehensive compendium encompassing best practices, guidelines, ethics principles, and national governance initiatives, as well as crafting an AI prompt-system prototype with multilingual support. The anticipated results include a transnational risk map with intervention recommendations, a compendium showcasing case studies and insights into knowledge-driven AI systems, the technical implementation of an AI prompt system prototype, and the establishment of stakeholders’ ecosystems through targeted activities in different work packages.
