ALL4-3D

Digital Upskilling, Inclusion and Access of Disabled People in the labour market through 3D-Technologies in VET

Short Description

Disability impacts a large number of people – approx. 18% of the working-age population in the EU and it affects a wide range of socioeconomic outcomes. The ‘EU Pillar of social rights’ supports ‘the right to quality and inclusive education, training and LLL in order to maintain and acquire skills that enable everyone to participate fully in society and manage successful transitions in the labour market’, as well as the right of disabled people to have access to ‘… services that enable them to participate in the labour market and in society, and a work environment adapted to their needs.

The ALL43D project aims to equip educators/VET trainers or any other professionals working with young people with disabilities to upgrade their professional profiles concerning the introduction of emerging technologies in education, especially 3D Modeling, Design and Printing linked to social entrepreneurial skills for sustainable development and green transition.

In particular, this project has the following objectives:

  • To strengthen the professional profiles of VET/ADULT trainers or other professionals working with disabled people with DIGITAL – 3D MODELLING, DESIGN AND PRINTING (3D-M-P) COMPETENCES linked to social ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS, based on a comprehensive assessment procedure following the eco-system of MICRO-CREDENTIALS.
  • To enrich VET/ADULT organisations’ courses and training material with the introduction of 3D-M-P courses in their programmes as per the needs of the labour market.
  • To UPGRADE the key competences of disabled people through the acquisition of 3D-P skills and to promote their access, inclusion and participation for a better career orientation.
  • To promote 3D-P as a means for eco-friendly approaches (e.g. use of biodegradable material, recycled, re-use and reduce waste) to be exploited as part of SOCIAL AND DIGITAL INNOVATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, e.g. production of assistive parts for disable people, missing parts from toys/Lego, Christmas decorations to be sold as part of a business plan.
