Based on the Youth Strategy 2019-2027, ‘Special attention should be given to Youth risking marginalization based on potential sources of discrimination such as disability. Training and education stand as the cornerstone for Young People (YP) towards social inclusion. Youth Workers (YW) play a vital role in facilitating employability skills to enhance career prospects from the early adulthood period. The EU Pillar of Social Rights in its 17th principle, states that people with disabilities have the right of participation in the labour market and a ‘work environment adapted to their needs. Moreover, the project aligns with the European disability strategy 2021-2030, which prioritizes inclusive and accessible programmes that entail ‘digital skills needs and applying assistive technology for better employability’.The project aims to design, develop and pioneer the idea of setting up the EMPLOYMENT HUBS FOR Young People with Disabilities (YPwDs) in formal and non-formal settings offering a targeted EMPLOYABILITY PROGRAMME. It aims to improve the employability skills for selected job sectors and create synergies with the labour market breaking down boundaries and discrimination and building a BUSINESS COMMUNITY with work opportunities while fostering STRUCTURAL DIALOGUE between labour market actors and Young People.
