Mapping Tool

A web-based application designed to visually represent the location and characteristics of various resources related such as green and social entrepreneurship, business development, training centres etc. This tool utilizes a combination of interactive maps, filters, and search functions to enable users to quickly identify and access the most relevant resources for their needs.

At its core, the mapping tool is built on top of a geographic information system (GIS), which allows it to integrate and analyze large amounts of spatial data. This data is typically sourced from various public and private databases, and can include information such as the location and contact information of business incubators, accelerators, and coworking spaces, as well as funding opportunities, mentoring programs, and other resources relevant to entrepreneurs.

The mapping tool’s user interface is designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate, with a map display as its central feature. Users can interact with this map by zooming in or out, panning, and selecting specific locations to view more information. They can also filter the displayed results by various criteria, such as the type of resource, its availability in a specific location, or its level of funding.

Behind the scenes, the mapping tool uses various data processing and visualization techniques to generate and display this information in real-time. This includes geocoding, which translates physical addresses into geographical coordinates, as well as data normalization and cleaning to ensure that the displayed results are accurate and up-to-date.

Overall, the mapping tool is a powerful tool for entrepreneurs and business development professionals, providing them with a comprehensive and easy-to-use platform for identifying and accessing the resources they need to succeed.
